A scientific-practical seminar dedicated to the International Standardization Day was held at the School of Commodity Research<\/a><\/span>\u00a0of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ). The workshop was jointly organized with the Department of \u201cMetrology and Standardization<\/a><\/span>\u201d of Azerbaijan Technical University and the Department of \u201cStandardization and Certification\u201d of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ.<\/p>\n

Congratulating the attendees on the International Standardization Day, Chairman of the Universiy\u2019s Elders\u2019 Board, Head of the Department of Examination of Consumer Products<\/a><\/span>, Professor Ali Hasanov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0spoke about the important tasks entrusted to specialists who are engaged in standardization in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

The School Dean, Assistant Professor Tofig Osmanov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0provided the participants with the information about the structural changes happen at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ, the application of the Electronic University Model and the Differential Salary System to increase the social welfare of the academic staff and to assess their pedagogical performances.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the history and significance of the International Standardization Day, Head of the Department Standardization and Certification\u201d, Assistant Professor Zabit Aslanov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0delivered the information on the necessity of the major \u201cMetrology, Standardization and Certification Engineering\u201d, carried out cadres\u2019 development, conducted scientific- research works and the field specialists\u2019 role in the economy of the country.<\/p>\n

The academic staff of the Technical University also made speeches within the scientific- practical seminar. The decision on continuing the cooperation with the relevant departments of both universities was made.<\/p>\n
