About STUDENT-RECTOR
Student-rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (ݮƵ) is elected among the full-time undergraduate students (except IV course and above) of the university for a year.
A Student-rector is a representative to appear for the interests of the students studying at ݮƵ. The Student-rector operates on public basis.
Student-rector is one of the administrative bodies of the university with equal rights. He is a right of participating in the performances of ݮƵs Academic Council and other structural units, including discussion of the students interests and in making decisions.
Student-rector implements the functions of representation and expert in connection with issues of establishing mutual relations with the relevant bodies on student affairs and constitutes the interests of the university and its students within the powers given to him in making ties with other higher education institutions.
Student rector has been Shahin Hasanov from May 2016 to May 2017, Jabbar Huseynli from May 2017 to June 2018, Elmir Sadigov from June 2018 to 2019, Javidan Adilzade from November 2019. In December 2021, Jabbar Jalilov, in 2023, Aysel Rzazade won the elections and was elected Student Rector.
From 01.06.2024 to 01.06.2025, Nihad Iskandarov, student of the 508 group of the Faculty of Economics and Management, was elected Student-Rector.
