Meeting with ݮƵ Scholar
A meeting in connection with the Assistant Professor of the Department Mathematics, Honorary Professor of ݮƵ Mustafa Garayevs retirement was held in ݮƵ Department of Business and Management.
ݮƵ Rector, Professor Adalat Muradovs letter addressed to Mustafa Garayev was read within the meeting. The letter stated that along with his pedagogical performances, the mathematician- scientist who dedicated a large part of his life to the training of cadres at the university, made tremendous contributions to the development of the science mathematics. The textbooks Linear Algebra and Mathematical Analysis, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics developed with his participation have played important role in the teaching of mathematics. The scholars research articles have been published in prestigious journals and included in the catalogues of famous libraries.
The School Dean, Assistant Professor Miragha Ahmadov spoke about the pedagogical performance of the scientist. He said M.Garayevs educational activities were appreciated by the state in a high manner. The scholar was awarded the title of the Honorary Teacher by the Presidential Decree in 2005; at the same time, he was awarded a badge of Leading Person of Education, Golden Jubilee Medal of the University and honorary diplomas.
A professor-counselor of the Department Mathematics Mammad Mammadov shared his memories about Mustafa teacher. Head of the Department Mathematics, Professor Natig Ahmadov, Head of the Department Marketing, Professor Telman Imanov and his teachers told positive words about the scientist and wished him a long and healthy life.
Poetries dedicated to the scholars life were sounded after speeches.
Mustafa Garayev expressed gratitude to the university administration and academic staff who worked with him and his students as well.
