A Competition dedicated to Khojali Tragedy was held at ݮƵ

The academic staff and the students of the Faculty Finance and Accounting of ݮƵ have attended the event dedicated to the anniversary of Khojali Tragedy.

A video prepared by the students about the massacre was demonstrated after a minutes silence to the memory of the people perished within the tragedy.

The School Dean, Geray Musayev said the Khojali genocide is the bloodiest page of the policy of ethnic cleansing and genocide conducted by the Armenian nationalists against our people. He highlighted that the President Ilham Aliyev has been performing purposefully and consistently to deliver the truth about the Khojali tragedy to the world community and for its recognition by. In addition, the international campaign Justice to Khojali performed by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva successfully implements projects in this area. The ceremonies of commemoration of Khojali victims are being held in many countries of the world.

A Professor of the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines Mahabbat Pashayeva, the Head of the Department Theoretical and Practical Economics, a Professor Umudvar Aliyev, an  Associated Professor of the Department of Finance and Financial Institutions Zohrab Pashayev and a senior teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages Durdana Vakilova spoke about the purposes of the Khojali events and the results committed by.

A Conversation Club held by the Russian School of Economics (RSE) was also devoted to Khojali tragedy. The leader of the club has appealed to students on The role of youth in the international campaign Justice to Khojali and promotion of the truth. Students shared their opinions within the debates held in English.

Director of the RSE, Associated Professor Mansur Barkhudarov recommended the students to be active in delivering the realities about Khojali genocide and Daghlig Garabagh conflict to the world community. He said that the main task set before the youth is to develop and do their best to protect our countrys interests.

Then the participants of the Conversation Club followed the documentary film about Khojali genocide prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The victims of Khojali massacre were commemorated in the Financial and Economic College of ݮƵ. Director of the College Hamza Ziyadov said that the Armenians carried out Khojali genocide in a planned manner. The innocent people were killed because of their nationality; were subjected to unprecedented torture. No one was shown mercy. He urged the young people to be particularly active for delivering the Khojali massacre and acts of vandalism committed by Armenia in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan to the international community and for the punishment of the perpetrators of the genocide.

Students of the college showed the artistic composition on Khojalis cry. A documentary film My soul is from Garabagh directed by the Head of ݮƵs Creativity Center Elman Jafarov was demonstrated in the end.

A competition of poetry dedicated to Khojali Week was held among the members of the Creativity Center of ݮƵ.

Besides the well-known Azerbaijani poets poetry, students sounded their own poems.

The winners were defined by the jury represented by the Peoples Actor Nureddin Mehdikhanli, an editor of Prose and Poetry Department of the journal Ulduz (Star) Vusal Nuru, an actor of Young Spectators Theatre Vahid Orujoghlu and an art director of ݮƵ Creativity Center Efsane Mammadova.

The first-year undergraduate of the International School of Economics Ilham Guliyev became the winner of the competition with Khalil Rza Uluturks poem Create a School of Hate. The fourth-year undergraduate of SABAH Groups Gunay Garayeva got II place with Bakhtiyar Vahabzades Did my Mother die? and the first-year undergraduate of the School of Finance and Accounting Tarana Guliyeva with Zalimkhan Yagubs poem Khojali, Khojali became III of the contest.

Winners will be awarded diplomas and participants certificates of participation.
