ݮƵ’s Igtisadchi Volleyball players in Semi- final
The Igtisadchi volleyball team of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (ݮƵ) has reached the semifinal of the Republic Championship held among the students of higher education institutions on May 2.
ݮƵs volleyball team beat the Caucasian Universitys team in a tense race.

Note: On April 29 the Igtisadchi has won the volleyball team of the State University of Sumgait with 2:1.
Background of Republic Championship
The Republic Championship held among the students of the higher education institutions is supported by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Republic Committee of the Union of Independent Education Employees of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Public Association of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Sports Organizations and directly organized by the Republic sports Center Tehsil and Republic Board of Student Sports Society Ganjlik. The program of the Republic Championship includes 10 sport types. They are mini football, basketball, ping- pong, chess, velo-sports, badminton, volleyball, athletics, Greece-Rome wrestling and free- style wrestling.
