ݮƵ Staff at the ݮƵ Martyr Mahir Mirzayevs Grave
ݮƵ alumnus Mahir Mirzayev killed in the April battles was commemorated.
Today April martyrs memory was marked with a minutes silence in the lecture rooms of ݮƵ. Then the academic and student staffs of the university visited the martyrs graves together with their family members.
Dean of the School of Economics, Associate Professor Asiman Guliyev noted that martyr Mahir Mirzayev always distinguished with his activeness: Mahir distinguished not only as a student, but also as a soldier. He was awarded the III degree medal posthumously for the Military Merits by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Noted that Mahirs bright memory will live in our souls forever.
Head of the Department Economy and Management of Social Sphere, Professor Ali Alirzayev spoke about Mahirs student years, his sincerity, patriotism and his outlook and knowledge that distinguished him from other students. The martyrs father Sabir Mirzayev talked about his fearlessness, patriotism and expressed proud of his son.
Martyrs teachers, student mates shared their memories about him. They promised to cherish his blessed memory. They noted that Mahir was very diligent, responsible and active person in the social life of the faculty and gained tha facultys respect. The speakers pointed that Mahir should become an example for every Azerbaijani and expressed pride of him. They promised to cherish martyrs blessed memories.
